Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop online, and add any bouquets of gifts that you wish to buy to your shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on the 'Checkout' button and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept any debit of credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own local currency.

We accept most credit and debit card payments, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro. You may send and pay for flowers over the phone by calling us.

Orders that are cancelled online or via the phone are subject to a cancellation fee.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when payment has been processed. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Delivery Schedule Orders received before 12pm Monday to Saturday UK time for UK delivery will be delivered on the same day if required.
Orders with a specified delivery date will be delivered on that day (note must be received before same day cut off time shown above or will be delivered next working day).
Orders placed to be delivered on a public holiday will be delivered the next working day. Online deliveries can only be in the UK. To send flowers overseas please telephone.

No timed deliveries - except for funeral tributes and weddings.

Please telephone if you have an emergency order.

If you require specific flowers please telephone at least 24 hours before delivery is required.

Orders are delivered ONCE. If the recipient is not home the flowers/plant are returned to the shop and a delivery note is left informing them that flowers/plant have tried to be delivered and to collect from the shop.
If a neighbour is home we will try and leave the flowers/plant with them providing they are willing to take responsibility for the delivery.
If the recipient is physically unable to collect their flowers/plant a new delivery date will be arranged with the recipient at The Flower Basket earliest convenience.
The Flower Basket Florist Sandwich Kent are not responsible for theft or damage of flowers, plants or sundries if left.
We take care of our flowers and ensure freshness and quality at all times.
Tax Charges Orders are inclusive of 20% VAT
Credit Card Security. When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 256 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website.

Refunds/Returns Policy

Refunds may occasionally be given at the discretion of the management. Because of the perishable nature of our products you are advised to make any complaint within 1 working day of the delivery of your flowers. We always endeavour to reach an agreement with the recipient for either for a replacement or a refund depending upon the nature of the complaint.

If a full refund is required on goods delivered via on-line ordering - goods must be returned/Collected and in good order as recieved at delivery address to inable a full/part refund. if any damage has accured it is to be at the disgretion of management. The return MUST take place within a 2 day period from delivery date due to the goods being perishable or NO refund will be given

When a booking is made for a special occasion, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and will be de-ducted from the total cost.  By paying the deposit, you have agreed with our terms and conditions.

Weddings

1. A quotation for the cost of your wedding flowers will be sent out to you soon after your initial consultation. This is a guide price and will be subject to change following the detailed consultation to account for any changes you make nearer to the wedding day and reflect the market cost of the flowers at the time of ordering. Seven days after the quote has been issued you will be required to sign our wedding contract. This will be countersigned by The Flower Basket upon receiving the booking deposit and will then form a binding contract. If via any other form of media i.e Facebook/Instagram/email on paying the booking deposit is then a form of binding contract with an unsigned contract

2. A £100 booking deposit is required to hold and book your wedding date or less if for smaller weddings. This should be paid during the initial consultation or with the return of the signed contract. If you live a distance from us paying the deposit is deemed as a signature. This deposit will be subtracted from your final wedding bill. If for any reason you decide to cancel your wedding, this deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to postpone your wedding, we will hold the deposit until the wedding goes ahead and may be subject to rearrangement fees.

3. Once your wedding date is booked with us, you should arrange a further detailed consultation approximately 4 - 6 weeks before your wedding day. This is to finalise the arrangements and discuss any last minute changes.

4. All wedding consultations will be made by appointment only. The initial and detailed consultations are complimentary. We will be available for contact by phone and email at any stage to answer any questions and queries you may have. Further requests for consultations may be charged.

5. Any changes made to a wedding order must be submitted in writing by the bride, groom or appointed acting party. We order your wedding flowers approximately ten to fourteen days before your wedding date, dependent on type of flowers chosen. You will not be allowed to make any changes after the order has been placed without additional fees. We will however try to make small changes where possible to accommodate your needs.

6. As fresh flowers and foliage are living products, there are occasions when particular varieties may be unavailable. Whilst every effort is made to source products accordingly, sometimes we are unable to obtain a particular type of flower. All fresh flowers and foliage are subject to availability and stringent quality checks, as such The Flower Basket reserve the right to use a similar flower in place of the previously chosen flower.

7. The final invoice for your wedding flowers will be issued to you after your detailed consultation. The final payment must be paid in full 30 days before the wedding. The Flower Basket reserves the right to cancel any wedding flowers, if payment is not made by this date. We are not obliged to offer any compensation for inconvenience caused.

8. Prices quoted will take into consideration a premium for weddings occurring over Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day weekend and any public / bank holiday.

9. We require a signature from yourself or an appointed person when you receive your flowers to confirm their delivery is of acceptable condition and that quantities are correct. Any queries must be raised within 1 hour of delivery.

10. Cancellation Charges

Any cancellations made within 90 days of the booked event: No deposit refundable.

Any cancellations made within 60 days of the booked event: No deposit refundable and administration charge will be applicable of £50.00.

Any cancellations made within 30 days of the booked event: No deposit refundable and 50% of the final balance will be required.

Any cancellations within 14 days of the booked event: Full balance will be required.

 

Prop Hire

1. A holding deposit will be required to cover any loss or damage while in the hirer’s possession. This will be returned once the hire Equipment has been returned in perfect condition.

2. Equipment hire is based on 2 day’s (48 hours) hire duration. On request, the Hirer may collect 1 day before the event subject to Equipment being available. An extra days hire may be charged if necessary.

3. The Hirer shall be solely responsible for the Hired Equipment, not the reception / event venue / hotel / florist or any other third party to whom shall take possession of the hired Equipment. The Hirer shall be alone responsible for insuring the hired Equipment is kept in good order from the time of receipt of delivery until back into the possession of The Flower Basket.

4. Any damage to hired Equipment or missing Equipment will be charged to the Hirer. Replacement of Equipment is charged at current market price. It is then the responsibility of the Hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault.

5. In the event that Equipment is unavailable, The Flower Basket will endeavour to notify the Hirer as soon as possible and promptly refund any monies already paid. The extent of The Flower Basket liability is limited to a refund of monies already paid.

6. If the replacement or repair costs are higher than the holding deposit, The Flower Basket will invoice the Hirer for the difference and the Hirer agrees to pay such invoice within 14 days of receipt.

7. For Equipment that are not returned within 1 day from the hire end period and where The Flower Basket have received no contact from the Hirer, The Flower basket are entitled to assume that the Hirer has no intention of returning the property. In these circumstances, The Flower Basket reserve the right to notify the authorities as appropriate and invoice the Hirer for the full replacement cost of the Equipment.

8. All hire Equipment is for indoor use only unless specified.

9. The Equipment hired must not be altered in any way, without prior written approval. Some Equipment is fragile, please handle with care at all times. The Hirer under no circumstances will be permitted to spray the Equipment with any hairspray, perfume or any other spray.

10. The hire Equipment remains the property of The Flower Basket. The Hirer will undertake not to sell, offer to sell, assign, charge, pledge, underlet or otherwise deal with the any Equipment provided by The Flower Basket in any circumstances.

11. The hire charges do not include delivery and collection charges unless otherwise agreed prior to hiring.

12. The Hirer must return all Equipment rented unless they are provided as part of the service, in which case this will be clearly specified in the quotation.

13. All goods should be pre-packed in their original boxes if collection has been agreed.

 

Weekly Deliveries

1. Quotes will only be valid for fourteen days.

2. Prices for the weekly delivery service will be reviewed annually. This may result in a price rise to take into consideration factors outside of our control, such as inflation rates and delivery costs.

3. Delivery dates may be subject to change, provided clear notification is given.

4. Order is deemed as received once the delivery arrives at the agreed location.

5. The contract for the delivery services will be on an ongoing basis.

6. The client has the right to examine the flowers on arrival and must provide verbal notification of any dissatisfaction in regard to condition, quality, defects or grade of the production. Written notification is required within 7 days. The Flower Basket has the option to replace or refund the invoice price of such undelivered or defective items.

7. Once the flowers have been delivered and accepted, no return will be accepted.

8. Payment terms are according to the invoice.

9. The flowers shall remain the property of The Flower Basket, until payment has been received.

10. The contract for services can be terminated at any stage following a minimum cancelation period of fourteen days. Termination must be provided in writing.

11. Vases and containers are supplied on a loan basis only and at no stage are owned by the client.

12. Any damage caused to vases and containers must be paid for by the client at the current market selling price.

13. Arrangements delivered may be photographed for use on The Flower Basket promotion material, unless specifically stated otherwise by the client.

Summary Terms & Conditions

Promotions open to residents within our delivering area. Residents outside the delivering area have to collect from the shop or pay delivery cost for winnings being delivered. Promotion opens 01/01/2016 and closes at 23:59 on 30/03/2016. The main prize: A half year or a whole year free flower or plant arrangement. Winning entry will be selected by a random draw on the 31/03/2016. Full Terms and Conditions available below. 

Full Terms & Conditions

  1. This promotion is open to residents within our delivering area. Residents outside the delivering area have to collect from the shop or pay delivery cost for winnings being delivered.  
  2. Arrangement won will be delivered in the first week of every new month on a day chosen by the flower basket. Email to inform will be sent at least a day before delivery. If it is not possible to receive the prize, let us know where to leave. If there is no possibility to leave the arrangement, the winner has to collect it from the shop or pay delivery cost for a second try.
  3. The arrangement is going to be delivered at the address given on the form and is not transferable.
  4. Arrangement is made by choice from the flower basket and can not be exchanged for cash. There is no cash alternative prize available.
  5. To win the prize, the form on our website must be filled in completely and be sent to us.
  6. One winner will be selected by a random draw on the 31/03/2016 from all valid entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions. The first person drawn at random will win a half year every first week of a new month, a flower or plant arrangement florist choice. If the winning person has also liked us on facebook and shared our page, they then are in with a chance to win a whole year free flower/plant arrangement. Once checked that you have liked us and shared us a winner will be picked.

 

Notification and delivery of the prize

  1. The winner will be notified between 01/04/2016 and 05/04/2016 using the contact details on the entry to this promotion.  
  2. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. However, if the winner has not responded to notification within 28 days, or if the selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner using the same process referred to above in these terms and conditions.
  3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failed delivery due to the provision of incorrect contact details by the entrant.  

General

  1. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted entries or those which are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failure to receive an entry where such failure is due to circumstances outside the Promoter's control. The terms and conditions of any third party supplier will also apply to the prize where applicable. If there is a conflict between third party terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, these shall take precedence.
  2. Prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. No cash or other alternative to a prize will be offered save for in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which case the Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value than the original.
  3. The Promoter will only use personal information supplied by entrants to this promotion for the purposes of administering this promotion unless consent is received to use such information for any other purpose.   
  4. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, or of the spirit of this promotion, the Promoter may at its sole discretion refuse to accept an entry.  
  5. The Promoter's decision is binding in all matters relating to this promotion, and no correspondence shall be entered into.
